A newly-established Fresh Start Academy for farmers is on the look-out for potential recruits in East Yorkshire.
The Wolds Fresh Start Academy, based at Bishop Burton College, will launch in March. Using a range of local specialists and professionals, the academy will aim to encourage new entrants to enter farming and to help established farmers develop their business skills.
Lord Rooker, the Minister for Food and Farming said: "These academies are vital in the development and diversification of England's farms."
The sessions will take place over a 15-month period, starting in March 2008. For more details, phone Peter Caley on 01652 654833 or 07768 642223.
