BBC Look North Presenter Harry Gration recently joined a number of employers for a breakfast meeting in the new restaurant at Selby College.
Mr Gration told guests: “With one million young people currently out of work and that number set to rise in the coming months, I fear the challenges ahead are some of the most grave we’ve had to face and will affect every aspect of our social fabric. However, by ensuring workforces are equipped with the relevant tools and training we can at least be prepared.”
He praised the role of Selby College for its continued success, both as a further education institute and a workforce training provider before presenting college principal Allan Stewart with a Government award for customer service excellence.
