ONE of the top commentators on the UK economy will be guest speaker at the regional dinner of the North Yorkshire Institute of Directors (IoD) in May.

He is Tom Vosa, head of market economics for Europe at National Australia Bank and chief economist for both Clydesdale and Yorkshire banks in the UK.

Having spent several years with the Bank of England, his experience covers forecasting, economic analysis and related client advice in both the banking and financial markets and within the public sector.

Guests at the evening event, at Castle Howard, near York, on Thursday, May 20, will have the opportunity to find out more about latest developments influencing the UK and regional economy. Fiona Sidwell, branch chairman of the IoD in North Yorkshire, said: “The regional dinner is one of our stand-out events and we are looking forward to hearing from Mr Vosa.

“At a time of economic uncertainty, and with the country’s finances under the spotlight, this is an opportunity to learn more about the challenges ahead and the economic prospects facing us.”

Admission to the event costs £75 per ticket or £750 per table of ten. For more information, or to book, phone Susanne Foxley on 0113 243 0152 or visit iod.com/yorkshire/events
