SCAMMELL Interiors, of Acomb Road, York, has won the customer service award for kitchens in the national kbbreview Industry Awards 2010.
The judges were impressed by Scammell Interior’s “friendly, enthusiastic team”.
The win justifies the philosophy of the owners, Sharon and Stephen Scammell, to treat their customers “as we like to be treated ourselves”.
Andrew Davies, head judge and editor of kbbreview magazine, which hosts the awards, said: “Scammell Interior’s business really did stand out from the others and they should be very proud of themselves. There has never been such a challenging time in the kitchen and bathroom industry and the awards were a great opportunity to reward excellence and hard work.”
The prestigious annual awards are designed to reward and acknowledge excellence in room design, product innovation and business practice within the kitchen and bathroom industry in the UK.
Held at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, in Birmingham, the ceremony was hosted by comedian Hugh Dennis, best known for his appearances on Mock The Week and Outnumbered, and his work with Steve Punt. The event was attended by key figures from the kitchen and bathroom industry, as well as the finalists in each category.
