THEA Stein has been chosen as the new interim chief executive of Yorkshire Forward.
Ms Stein, who is the currently executive director of economic inclusion at the regional development agency, is believed to be taking over for one year after current chief executive Tom Riordan leaves the agency in July.
She is also a board member of Hull Forward and was previously chief executive of Leeds North East Primary Care Trust.
A Yorkshire Forward spokesperson was unable to confirm the appointment of Thea Stein, saying only: “We have gone to the government with our recommendation and await confirmation and a decision from them on it.”
Ms Stein began her career as a psychologist and family therapist, and has held positions in the health and social care sector, including time as a project officer leading on the health plan with the Scottish Parliament and on research work with the King’s Fund and Royal College of GPs in London.
