THE Co-operative Bank in York has stepped up its marketing campaign to attract new current account customers.
The bank raised its profile with a cycling advertisement and its team hit the streets to track down potential new customers.
Hichem Turki, branch manager at The Co-operative Bank in York, said: “As one of the few trusted high street banks, we saw a 38 per cent increase in the number of people who took out current accounts with us last year across The Co-operative Bank.
“The team spent the day in York talking to new customers, showing them the alternative service we offer to the other high street providers.”
