FORMER snooker world champion, Dennis Taylor will be guest speaker at York Against Cancer’s annual Yorkshireman’s dinner at York’s Merchant Adventurers’ Hall in October.
The event, on October 14, will raise money to buy services for cancer patients in York, including providing a free daily minibus service to ferry patients from their homes in York to St James Hospital in Leeds.
Julie Barnie, general manager of York Against Cancer, said: “We are looking for businesses in the city to be represented there and be seen to be supporting us. The price is £65 per ticket or £650 per table, and with Dennis there it will be worth every penny.”
Places can be booked by phoning Julie at 01904 764466, or emailing her at julie.barnie@yorkagainstcancer.org.uk
