STUART Quin will retire as boss of Harrogate International Centre in October after 14 years at the venue, the last five of them as director.
He has been instrumental in consolidating the centre’s position as one of the largest venues in the country, by ensuring development, flexibility and levels of customer care across all functions of the business, including events, operations, marketing and sales.
Mr Quin oversaw the expansion of the venue’s capacity through an additional events hall, and lead the £10.8 million restoration project of the Grade lI listed building, the Royal Hall, which was completed in 2008.
Harrogate Borough Council will start to recruit a successor over this summer and autumn.
