AN EAST Riding garden centre has won an award for having the best Christmas display the second year running.
Langlands, at Shiptonthorpe, was awarded The Garden Centre Association award for the best Christmas display in the north east for a destination garden centre.
The Ducker family founded Langlands more than 50 years ago.
James Ducker said he was thrilled to achieve such critical acclaim.
He said: “Obviously we’re delighted to win such an important award again. We knew our Christmas display this year was the best it has ever been having invested heavily in it, and it’s great that the industry agrees with us and has recognised our hard work. We are already reaping the rewards with record pre-Christmas sales both here and at our sister site in Leeds.”
He said: “The team here has been amazing and it’s an absolute pleasure to see all their hard work and dedication pay such great dividends. This award once again positions Langlands as an established garden centre offering gardening inspiration, locally sourced and made produce with great value and service.”
