COSTCUTTER Supermarkets Group has presented long service awards to ten employees who between them have amassed 150 years’ service.
Nick Ivel, managing director of Costcutter, said: “We are extremely proud of our record as one of the best places to work in York.
“Attracting and retaining good people is a key Costcutter aim, as our people set us aside from the competition and truly make the company what it is today.
“I’m particularly proud of our long-service awards, as they acknowledge the ongoing loyalty and dedication our team has to the Costcutter brand.”
The Dunnington-based convenience retail brand thanked David Thompson, Cheryth Klavins, Ian Graves, Heather Catlow and Sarah Chick for 20 years’ service to the company, and Angela Barber, Paul Conway, Margaret Puckering, Richard Mills and Rebecca Wood, who have worked there for ten years.
The company plans to launch a number of employee initiatives in 2011.
