LAW firm Raworths LLP of Harrogate has chosen Yorkshire Cancer Research as its charity partner for the next 12 months.
The legal practice, established in 1885, hopes to raise thousands of pounds for the cancer charity, which helps Yorkshire people beat cancer and ensures more than 200 Yorkshire scientists and clinicians remain employed in the fight against the disease.
Jonathan Mortimer, partner and head of dispute resolution at Raworths, said: “There are so many extremely worthy national, international and regional charities out there but we’ve decided to raise funds for a local charity that save lives here in Yorkshire.”
Raworth’s staff, clients and partners will be organising money-raising wine tasting events, coffee mornings, art exhibitions and more for the cause over the next 12 months.
