DESIGN students from York College have been challenged to produce new car graphics for expanding York letting and estate agency Coalters.
The firm’s fleet of nine Fiat 500 cars will receive the makeover this summer – giving them a new look.
Alan Preston, tutor at York College, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to work on a live project. The project will help them to understand how to work with a business client, understand their needs and create a design that meets their brief. “The design of the car graphics needs to be creative but there are also practical issues to take into consideration in terms of how the vinyl graphics are produced.”
Reuben Barrett, managing director at Coalters, which is moving to larger premises in Low Ousegate next month, said: “I’m looking for creative and outstanding designs that will have real impact and I’m confident that the students will do a great job.”
