A SENIOR manager at the London Stock Exchange will be among speakers at a special seminar on business sales and exit strategies being held by York lawyers Denison Till this month.
Mark Fahy, who is based in Yorkshire and heads a team of business development managers for the London Stock Exchange with special responsibility for the north of England, will join the corporate team at Denison Till and Manchester-based Gresham Private Equity in addressing an audience at the half-day seminar at York Racecourse on Thursday, June 16.
The event is being held as the challenging economic climate means that many business owners are considering the most appropriate exit or succession strategies for their enterprises including management or family successions, trade sales and flotations.
Mr Fahy, who manages the Stock Exchange’s relationship with more than 350 companies on the main market and AIM in the north, will discuss the state of the market and if flotations are appropriate for individual businesses.
The head of the Manchester office of Gresham Private Equity, Andy Marsh, will give the view of a private equity provider.
The seminar is aimed at all business and company owners, directors and partners and their professional advisers.
