YORK and North Yorkshire Chamber is expanding with new services including a mentoring panel, Peer-2-Peer programme, press desk and HR helpline.
The services have created four new jobs for commercial sales manager Rebecca Mason; events manager Matilda Baker; commercial accounts manager Jo Wallis and product and services executive Tom Ashurst.
Susie Cawood, head of York and North Yorkshire Chamber, who is taking on a wider lobbying and representational role, said: “We’re delighted to unveil these new recruits and services which are part of York and North Yorkshire Chamber growing in sophistication as well as size to ensure that we remain where our members expect us to be – at the heart of the business community.”
Existing staff have taken on new roles to help deliver the new services which aim to help the chamber to continue to attract more members in York and North Yorkshire, and the chamber is recruiting its mentoring panel.
Its Peer-2-Peer programme, run with York Management School, will bring owner managers, managing directors and senior managers together to discuss issues affecting their enterprises and give businesses a new way to share ideas and gain fresh perspectives.
The new free HR helpline will give employment and health and safety advice and press desk will help small enterprises by publishing their press releases free-of-charge on the chamber’s website. It will also offer Chamber Connect, a card scheme for members to offer discounts to other members.
