SCARBOROUGH manufacturer Duraweld has risen 11 places in The Sunday Times Best Green Companies List for its environmentally friendly practices.
The company was ranked 28th out of 60 companies, a leap of 11 places on last year’s 39th place.
The company was also placed fifth in the category of “small companies with medium impact” and was the second-highest ranked manufacturing company in the whole list. The company said the achievement was a direct result of its environmentally friendly products and environmental policy.
Angie Francksen, sales manager for the company, which produces presentation, packaging and printed stationery products, said: “It is very rewarding to have our green initiatives and products recognised by such a prestigious organisation.”
