A HAT-TRICK of property deals, worth a total of £1.54 million, has been sealed at York Business Park.
The Evans Property Group has sold three office and hybrid business units under its Business Living brand at Opus Avenue and Novus Avenue respectively.
The Doncaster Garage Door Centre has bought Unit 3 at Novus Business Living for £320,000. It is a hybrid business building consisting of 4,100 sq ft of quality office and light industrial space. Park Leisure 2000 has bought Unit 1 at Opus Avenue for £610,000. This is a modern 5,100 sq ft office building.
And the 63-year-old Hethertons Solicitors firm is relocating from Rougier Street, York, to Unit 6 at Opus Avenue, acquired for £615,000. The move takes place at the end of the summer. The company also has an office in Boroughbridge.
The two deals at Opus Avenue mean that the six-unit office development is now completely sold.
Meanwhile, four units at Novus Avenue, comprising a total of 18,000 sq ft of office and light industrial space, are still available for sale.
Catherine Godfrey, property manager with Evans, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have concluded these deals successfully in a challenging economic climate. The deals underline that our Business Living brand at York Business Park remains extremely popular with companies wanting to own their own buildings.
“The remaining four hybrid units, ranging from 3,750 sq to 5,500 sq ft are attracting strong interest. These self-contained, two-storey, hi-tech business units, combining quality office and light industrial, studio and laboratory space, are suitable for a wide range of modern businesses.”
Richard Flanagan, of marketing agents Lawrence Hannah, of Blossom Street, York, said: “These successful deals are another chapter in the tremendous success story of York Business Park.
“Superbly located just two miles north of York city centre and next to the York outer ring road, York Business Park has provided a great boost to York’s economy during the past few years. These deals are a striking example of the park’s popularity.”
David Hallam, Hethertons’ head of commercial property law said: "We are delighted to have acquired our new premises on York Business Park. The easy access provided by the ring road and the free parking right on the doorstep will bring huge benefits to clients, who will no longer have to run the gauntlet of the city centre traffic wardens.”
