GREEN-tech the York supplier of materials, tools and equipment to the landscaping trade has earned top accreditation for excellence of products and service.

The Nun Monkton firm has achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation which gives Green-tech’s customers the assurance that they are dealing with a reliable business partner.

The widely recognised ISO 9001 is designed to improve the internal processes and operational systems, resulting in increased efficiency within Green-tech.

ISO 14001 provides the framework for an environmental management system, a subject that is close to Green-tech’s heart because it strives to source products that are manufactured from sustainable sources, recyclable or offer green benefits.

Rachel Kay, Green-tech’s managing director, described the two accreditations as “a huge achievement” for her team.

She said: “Certification means that Green-Tech has built quality into its business processes, not only to meet but to exceed customer expectations. Being accredited is the powerful difference that sets us apart in today’s marketplace. It demonstrates our commitment to serving the needs of our customers and strengthens our dedication to quality and innovation.

“The ISO accreditation will provide us with the opportunity to trade with greater confidence in a broader range of supply chains.’ A family business, Green-tech employs 42 local people and last year achieved its biggest-ever turnover despite the economic climate.
