AMERICAN fashion retailer Brooks Brothers has opened its first store in Yorkshire, at the York Designer Outlet.
The brand, which was the US’s first ready-to-wear fashion emporium founded in New York in 1818, has stores in London, Edinburgh, Manchester and Oxon in the UK.
The brand has dressed style icons including Clarke Gable and Cary Grant, as well as dressing every US president since Abraham Lincoln, with Barack Obama being inaugurated wearing a Brooks Brothers coat, tie and leather gloves.
The new store, which employs eight members of staff - five full time and three part time - includes men’s, women’s and accessories ranges.
