IT’S all still to cycle for in the York Cycle Challenge.
So far in the challenge, 1,326 people from 64 organisations have recorded 10,860 trips totalling 68,930 miles and saving about 14,875 kilograms of carbon dioxide.
The winning team will escort the Olympic torch through the city on their bikes.
RGO Europe, a department of Nestle, is leading the seven to 19 employees category with Red and Black Software, both of which have 100 per cent participation, as do York Metrics and Higher York in the three to six employees category.
Shepherd Group Industrial Division continues to lead the 500 employees plus category, with the University of York’s Biology department leading the 200 to 499 category, followed by the university’s economics department in the 50 to 199 staff and HandA leading the 20 to 49 staff category.
