PRESERVES producer Mercers of Yorkshire has won a contract to stock 19 new product lines into supermarket Asda.
The deal means 43 of the Wheldrake-based company’s jam and chutney lines will be sold across regional based Asda stores.
The business intends to expand on its current range of jams, marmalades and chutneys, with a host of new product lines including mustards, jellies and savoury sauces, following the contract win.
New flavours will include Beer and Black Peppercorn Wholegrain Mustard, Gooseberry and Mint Sauce, and Quince Jelly.
Paul and Lizzie Mercer, produce all of their range at their own factory in Wheldrake to allow them to control the quality and locality of the produce.
