THE man chosen to lead a major potash mining project in North Yorkshire has been named as Alan Watling, former CEO of African Minerals Limited.
Mr Watling is to take up the position of managing director the York Potash Project, a proposed state-or-the-art potash mine between Whitby and Scarborough.
He said: “The York Potash Project is an important and exciting development and comes at a time when a genuine economic boost is needed. I understand the challenges of such a development but also the significant benefits that a project like this can deliver.”
