A YORK public relations agency has retained a key tourism account.
The York Archaelogical Trust PR account, held by the Partners Group, includes publicising the organisation’s work in archaeology and conservation, as well as the JORVIK Viking Centre and the city’s annual Viking Festival which attracts 40,000 visitors a year.
It also covers the Trust’s other attractions – medieval townhouse Barley Hall, the DIG archaeological adventure and Micklegate Bar museum – and touring exhibitions Gladiators, Plague, Poverty and Prayer and the forthcoming Viking-themed Valhalla.
The Partners Group retained the account, which it has held for four years, in a competitive re-pitch.
The company has a specialist leisure and tourism division, Partners Leisure, which works with museums and visitor attractions across the UK including English Heritage, Crich Tramway Village and York Maze.
