ICE cream maker Yorvale has secured a pitch at the side of the Minster to sell from its new mobile ice cream and refreshment unit.
Lesley Buxton, director of the Acaster Malbis-based business, said: “For the first time in our 23 year history, we have invested in a mobile unit that serves refreshments as well as ice cream, so we have taken the opportunity to collaborate with fellow artisan producers and make it a showcase for great Yorkshire food and drink.”
The new unit is based in Dean’s Garden, at the west end of York Minster, and has created two new jobs.
