THE Jinnah Indian restaurant at Flaxton has held its inaugural classic car event.
The idea for the event was suggested to Jinnah owner, Saleem Akhtar, by customers who are enthusiasts after Saleem bought a 1947 Mercury Eight saloon last year.
General Lee, a 1969 Dodge Charger owned by Steve Mead of Norton, won the award for the Most Desirable Car on show.
Nick Szkiler, from West Knapton, took the second place trophy with a rare pre-war Riley 9 Lynx Tourer while his wife, Elizabeth, took third place with a pristine 1962 Jaguar E Type. Saleem said he hoped it would become an annual event.
