A NETWORKING group in York is celebrating after generating £3.2 million in business for its members over the past three years.
The York group of Business Network International (BNI), which meets every Friday morning at the Novotel, in Fishergate, has also had 20,000 referrals passed between its members since it started in 2002.
Now it is launching a recruitment drive, saying it represents a chance for more local businesses to grab a share of the trade.
Jeff Cohen, Knavesmire Group director, said: “In these tough economic times there must be many people out there in York who would like more business.
“Knavesmire BNI has a fantastic track record in generating business for its members.
“Now we are looking for more like-minded business people to join us.”
Only one person per professional category is allowed to join the group at any one time.
“At the moment, the group is looking in particular for a photographer, website designer, waste management company and air-conditioning company.”
