THE winners of a challenge in which hundreds of York workers cycled over 100,000 miles were rewarded at a presentation with Lord Mayor Coun Keith Hyman.
Employees cycled the equivalent of four times around the world in the York Cycle Challenge, with1,524 people from 65 organisations taking part, including 132 people taking to a bike for the first time in more than a year.
Shepherd Group Industrial Division, The University of York’s Biology and Economics departments, H&A, the Environment Agency and RedBlack Software’s sales support team were presented their awards for the highest participation levels in each of their size categories.
