YOUNGSTERS at schools throughout the region recently celebrated the Council of Europe’s tenth European Day Of Languages.
Youngsters at St Mary’s CE Primary School, at Askham Richard, arranged a variety of activities, including a French café and students at Queen Margaret’s School, Escrick, started their day with a display of European flags.
Meanwhile, junior pupils at The Mount School in York performed a school production to encourage the use of French.
