TEN young apprentices are needed to fill jobs at a North Yorkshire council.
Hambleton and Richmondshire District Councils are looking for young apprentices to join the Waste and Street Scene division for six months.
The neighbourhood assistant scheme - open to anyone from the ages of 16 to 25 – is being provided by Nordic Pioneer of County Durham, a company that delivers professional training, graffiti removal and prevention.
Based in Northallerton the apprentices will receive six months training as well as experience in customer service and customer care, team work, health and safety to recognised qualification standards, first aid, specialist cleaning techniques – graffiti removal by hand and pressure washer, managing waste including recycling, maintenance and cleaning of landscaped areas.
Interviews for the posts take place on Tuesday with the jobs starting a week later.
