YORK comedians are to perform as support acts to feminist poet Hollie McNish at a gig being staged at the City Screen cinema as part of International Women’s Week.
Sarah Wood, of Holgate, said: “Hollie, who is huge in the poetry/feminist world, is coming to do a gig on Thursday, March 13.
"I have been asked to be one of the support acts with my comedy/poetry performance – imagine Pam Ayres meets Victoria Wood! The gig starts at 7.45pm with tickets at £5 available from the City Screen box office.
On Friday, March 14, from 1pm to 5pm, health coach Mandy Spray will be at a workshop exclusively for women called Making Sense of Life. Email mandyspray@sky.com for more details.
