AFTER a Christmas break, Black Comedy @ The Black Swan in York returns on Tuesday with a headline set by Dave Twentyman, a Mancunian who is rocketing towards comedy stardom.
On the 8.45pm bill too is Bradford's Kate Fox, whose routines and poems are offset by some deliciously dark observations, while support slots go to newcomers Sam Gore, Winston Smith and Tommy Holgate, all from Leeds, but with very different styles.
Compere and promoter James Christopher will be on hand with the Late Santa Giveaway, which "may or may not be an elaborate ploy to dispose of some unwanted Christmas gifts".
Doors open at 8.15pm at the Black Swan Inn, Peasholme Green, York; admission is £4, students £3.
