ANDI Osho, straight-talking comic, presenter, actress and writer, is busy this spring.

She is combining a solo tour of her 2010 Edinburgh Fringe hit, Afroblighty, with writing and recording the second series of Channel 4’s topical Friday night show, Stand Up For The Week.

Afroblighty is the touching tale of an East End girl born to Nigerian migrants and her journey to find an identity in the cultural crossfire of modern Britain.

“From Black and White Minstrels’ shows and Lenny Henry, through the emerging urban culture, the rise and fall and rise again of the BNP and out the other side into political correctness, America’s first black president and beyond, this show is my personal take on what it meant to grow up in the middle of a wonderful, confusing, frustrating and inspiring culture clash,” says Andi.

Tonight, you can see her on C4’s Stand Up For The Week with Patrick Kielty, Rich Hall, Jack Whitehall and Kevin Bridges.

What’s coming next for Andi? Look out for her starring alongside Martin Freeman in the upcoming British feature film Swinging With The Finkels.

Doors open at 7pm on Sunday; tickets are available on 0871 902 5726 or at thebasement.co.uk.
