ANITA Klein’s latest show in her 20 years of exhibiting at Pyramid Gallery forms part of the York gallery’s Christmas Collection, on display in Stonegate until January 20.
The artist and printmaker, who divides her time between studios in London and Anghiari, Italy, has a distinctive talent for capturing private moments in her paintings and prints that are eye catching immediately and touching on closer contemplation.
Anita, who studied at the Chelsea and Slade schools of art, is a fellow and past president of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers and her work is in many private and public collections in Europe, the United States and Australia, including Arts Council England and the British Museum.
Earlier this week, she attended a Meet The Artist event at the opening evening of the show on Monday at a gallery where her work is always present.
