Holgate Windmill Preservation Society will mark its first open weekend at the York mill this season with a photo display.
A Glimpse Of Spring will be staged from 11am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, with admission for adults costing £3.
The event will be held in conjunction with National Mills weekend, when many wind and watermills across the country will also open.
The restoration of the Holgate mill is continuing with the installation of an electric motor to drive one set of stones.
Then flour production will start again after a gap of more than 80 years.
Visitors are asked not to park in Windmill Rise, but use Acomb Road and come up the snicket to the mill.
The No. 1 bus also stops on Acomb Road.
