A NINE-YEAR-OLD York girl has been praised for her Oscar-worthy professionalism when she was filmed in a commercial for a York-based company of chartered surveyors.
Freya Anna Yeomans, who attends Hob Moor Primary School in Acomb, worked alongside award-winning local director Christopher David to shoot the two-and-a-half minute corporate promotional film for Charters-Reid.
“Although the film was shot in a single day, the schedule was quite demanding but Freya was brilliant,” said Mr David, of York-based Flash Frame Productions, which produced a film for The Press’ Think, Don’t Swim campaign in 2011.
“She learned all her lines and was a pleasure to work with. She never complained, despite all the waiting around and repeating shots.”
Freya said: “I’d love to do more film work. All the crew made me feel really special and they made it a fun day.”
Mr David said he first encountered his client, Jon Charter-Reid, through the LinkedIn networking group Made In York.
Mr Charters-Reid said: “Freya’s a budding young actor on her way to getting an Oscar. I’m sure she will get the break she deserves.
“Now the film will be re-edited for a television commercial – but it’s all great exposure for Freya.”
