Student movie-makers are appealing for financial support as they try to make their North Yorkshire film project a reality.
“A Man, Sinking” follows the story of an ex-convict turned deep-sea diver, who faces his murky past as he is submerged at the bottom of the ocean.
The film is being shot in Staithes. The crew are students at the University of York’s Department of Theatre, Film & Television, and the film marks the final project of their degree.
While the department provides equipment and other support for the production, extra funding is still required, with a target of £4,000.
Donations to date have covered nearly two-thirds of that target, but they must hit the target by Monday to receive any of the pledges.
