THE fight against homelessness will be stepped up in North Yorkshire next week when a new drop-in advice service is launched.
The free service is being provided by housing charity Foundation, which works with Hambleton District Council on accommodation needs.
A housing support worker will be at each of the Thirsk sessions, which will be held at the charity’s Westgate offices every Monday from 10am to 2pm.
They will help those facing debts which put their homes at risk, who have been asked to leave their current accommodation, or who need emergency housing or have other worries.
For more information about the Thirsk service and existing sessions in Northallerton, phone Foundation on 01609 767008.
