LEE SCRATCH PERRY, the godfather of dub and the high priest of reggae, plays Fibbers in York tomorrow night.
The Upsetter has been one of the biggest influences in the development and acceptance of reggae/dub for more than 30 years, with a creative genius still evident in his solo work from the 1970s and mind-boggling releases from the 1980s.
Perry has worked with everyone from the Heptones to the Skatalites to the Clash. One of his most notable contributions was the pairing to form Bob Marley and the Wailers.
