TICKETS go on sale at 9am tomorrow for Deacon Blue’s September 10 concert at York Barbican, part of their biggest tour in more than a decade.
Last year the Glasgow band marked the 25th anniversary of their debut album, Raintown, with a sold-out tour and also released the Top 20 album The Hipsters.
Fronted by vocalists Ricky Ross and Lorraine McIntosh, Deacon Blue will perform such favourites as Real Gone Kid, Dignity and Chocolate Girl, complemented by material from their 2012 album.
Leading up to this tour, Ross will take to the stage in April with his Untold Stories solo show, followed by summer festival performances for Deacon Blue at Carfest North and T In The Park.
Tickets for September 10 can be booked on 0844 854 2757, online at yorkbarbican.co.uk or in person at the Barbican box office, open Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm.
