YORK’S famous choirgirl Isabel Suckling will share the concert platform with the singing, radio and TV star who is helping her follow in his footsteps.
Aled Jones first made his name as a boy chorister in Bangor more than 25 years ago. Since then he has become a broadcast media star and household name.
On April 19, he will sing with 14-year-old Isabel in York Minster where she first made her name as a singing sensation. He became her mentor when she signed her first recording contract when she was 12.
The joint concert is part of a UK tour by Aled Jones during which he will sing 13 concerts in 13 cathedrals between April 6 and May 11. On each occasion, he will be joined by local choirs and at York Minster will be joined by The Choristers of York Minster.
