AMPLEFORTH and Ryedale Concert Choir and Friends Orchestra, under conductor William Dore, will celebrate English classical composer Benjamin Britten’s centenary with a fund-raising concert for dementia charity Lost Chords on June 29.
The 7.30pm programme at Ampleforth Abbey will include Britten’s St Nicholas and Rejoice The Lamb and pieces by the Ampleforth Children’s Choir and Ryedale School Cantata. Lost Chord provides musical experiences for people living with dementia.
