CONGRATULATIONS to York band Mostly Autumn’s guitarist and lead singer, Bryan Josh and Olivia Sparnenn, who are to tie the knot at St Andrew’s Church, Bishopthorpe, York, tomorrow at 1pm.
Their Midsummer’s wedding service will feature live music and will be followed by the invitation to guests to “make merry” at the Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge, from 7pm.
As for wedding gifts, Bryan and Olivia say their main aim tomorrow is to celebrate with as many friends and family as possible, but should any of those friends and family wish to contribute towards the cost of building a log cabin in the Josh garden, there will be a ‘money well’ at the Lion Inn.
The party spirit will spill over into Saturday when Mostly Autumn, winners of the Best Band of 2012 in the Classic Rock Society poll, will stage a wedding celebration concert at The Duchess in York. Tickets cost £15 on 08444 771000 or £17 on the door from 7.30pm.
Mostly Autumn’s latest release is the double-disc DVD Live At The Boerderij, recorded in concert at Zoetermeer in the Netherlands on September 15 last year.
“It’s been a while coming but well worth it,” says Bryan. “Every time we play at the Boerderij, it feels like coming home.
“The whole experience there is something we place very highly in the adventures of Mostly Autumn. We can only say how proud we are to offer this film and pass on some of that special magic. Hope you enjoy it.”
Likewise, Bryan and Olivia, What’s On hopes you enjoy every moment tomorrow – and the log cabin in the years to come.
