METRONOMY are posting Love Letters as their new album on April 14, preceding its arrival with a tour that comes to Leeds O2 Academy on March 18.
Over the past 18 months, Metronomy’s sole musician, singer, writer and producer, Joseph Mount, has been listening to classic Sixties records, especially Sly And The Family Stone, Love, The Byrds and The Zombies, leading to an album of “glowing warmth and ear-worm melodies”.
Love Letters arrives two years after Metronomy’s Mercury-nominated, 250,000-selling breakthrough, The English Riviera.
On tour, he will be joined by Oscar Cash, keyboards and saxophone, Anna Prior, drums, and Gbenga Adelekan, guitar.
