MARTIN Taylor, composer and master exponent of jazz guitar, returns to the National Centre of Early Music, York, tomorrow for a solo show at 7.30pm.
Taylor, who has 14 British Jazz Awards to his name, combines virtuosity, emotion and humour with a strong stage presence in his performances. His career has embraced touring and recording with the late violin virtuoso Stephane Grappelli and collaborating with jazz trumpeter Guy Barker for their premiere of the Spirit of Django Orchestral Suite at the 2012 BBC Proms.
