BARNSLEY folk nightingale Kate Rusby will play Scarborough Spa’s Grand Hall on October 4 as the only North Yorkshire concert of her 12-date autumn tour of England and Scotland.
The 7.30pm show will combine Rusby favourites from a back catalogue stretching back more than 20 years with selections from her as-yet-untitled new album, whose launch will coincide with Kate's new Underneath The Stars festival of music and arts in July.
She has been in her South Yorkshire studio, working on the album recording sessions right up until she heads out of the door for Saturday's start of her spring tour. " I'm delighted with how it's sounding," she says. "July's the launch, so there's lots to do still and just a few months to do it in."
Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10am at £20 for adults and £15 for under 16s on 01723 821888 and at scarboroughspa.co.uk
