ORGANISERS of last year’s York Guitar Festival say it was such a success that it’s happening all over again this year.
Spokesman Robert Heath said 2014 would see the return of Gary Ryan, “our much loved virtuoso and unofficial classical guitar ambassador to York”.
He said: “Gary’s concert will be on Sunday, July 21, at 7.30pm in the Chapel of Queen Margaret’s School, Escrick - a truly inspriring and beautiful concert venue. Our programme will also feature Gary dispensing his pearls of guitar wisdom to guitar students in the morning open door master-class.”
He said Gary was a classical guitar performer of “international repute”, who had performed at major venues throughout the world and was renowned for his compelling live performances and original concert programmes.
He added that the festival was very child friendly, with families welcome to attend and a discounted ticket for families available.
