IS THE Noisettes frontwoman, Shingai Shoniwa, an "Amazonian warrior with an eye for fashion or Billie Holiday on PCP"?
You can decide tomorrow night when the London band headline the Levi's OnesToWatch 2007 bill at Fibbers, with support from The Victorian English Men Club and Mayor McCa.
One minute Shingai is rough, raw and explosively dramatic, the next, detached, calm and serene.
Occasionally she plays the bass, the rest of the time she leaps and dives around in the rocket-powered company of guitarist Dan Smith and drummer Jamie Morrison, two hairy guys high on rhythmic rock and sleazy blues.
The Noisettes, who are signed to Vertigo, will be airing songs from debut album What's The Time Mr Wolf, including the single Sister Rosetta (Capture The Spirit), set for release on Monday.
Doors open at 7:30pm; tickets cost £7 in advance from Fibbers or £8 on the door.
