YORK Symphony Orchestra’s Winter Concert takes place on Sunday night at the Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall, University of York.
The 8pm programme comprises Beethoven’s Overture to The Consecration Of The House, Strauss’s Four Last Songs and Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No 1, conducted by Alasdair Jamieson.
The orchestra will be led by Claire Jowett and the soprano soloist for the Strauss work will be Gillian Rae-Walker.
Tickets are available at £13, concessions £11, children and students £5, on 01904 627900, from Visit York in Museum Street, from orchestra members or on the door.
