IRISH singer-songwriter Kieran Halpin returns to the Black Swan Folk Club, York, on Thursday as one stop on his Auf Wiedersehen tour of Britain and Europe.
Almost constantly on the road or in the studio since 1979, Halpin is to take a career break from June, moving to Australia for a year 's rest with his family.
"Kieran has always had many fans around Yorkshire, and for many of them Thursday's concert will be the last chance to see him perform for quite some time, " says club organiser Roland Walls.
Halpin has released 17 albums, most recently A Box Of Words And Tunes in 2006, and two Halpin songbooks have been published.
Doors open at 8pm; admission is £7, concessions £6.
