Kate Rusby has been in the studio through March and April working on material for her follow-up to The Girl Who Couldn't Fly, her last album released in September 2005.
"I've not settled on a title yet, but it might be called Awkward Annie. It's still in its infancy at the moment, so it's a case of watch this space as they say!" says the fair queen of Barnsley folk.
On Wednesday, Kate and her usual coterie of folk luminaries led by John McCusker play a sold-out gig at Harrogate Theatre, at 8pm.
If you have missed out on a seat, panic not. Kate has just been booked into the Grand Opera House, York, for September 16, although tickets are not yet on sale.
