The University of York musicians in residence, Ensemble 360, play at the National Centre For Early Music tonight.
This young, vibrant group has started a three year residency at the university and is developing partnerships across York.
Tonight's performance, starting at 7.30pm, features romantic French chamber music, including Ravel's string quartet, Pierre Boulez's Sonatina for flute and piano, Andre Messager's Solo de concours for clarinet and piano, and Georges Onslow's septet for flute, clarinet, oboe, horn, bassoon, piano and bass.
Ensemble 360 takes its name from performing in the round at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre.
Concerts are friendly and informal and allow the musicians to talk about the music in a relaxed but informative manner.
Tickets cost £5 to £12 and are free to music students at the University of York. Box office: 01904 658338 or boxoffice@ncem.co.uk
